Acer Swift 16 AI (2026) Review: Where Do Your Hands Go?

Overview

Sporting the largest touchpad I’ve ever seen, the ambitious Acer Swift 16 is better in theory than in practice.

Design and Touchpad

The Acer Swift 16 AI features an exceptionally large touchpad, which is one of the most notable design elements. However, the placement of the keyboard and the touchpad has led to issues with palm rejection, affecting usability during trackpad interactions.

Performance and Specifications

The laptop delivers strong performance thanks to Intel’s Panther Lake processor. It is positioned as one of the most competitively priced Panther Lake X7 laptops available, with configurations such as 32GB RAM and 1TB storage available at $1,799.

Display and Build Quality

The Acer Swift 16 AI includes a 2K or 3K OLED display with DisplayHDR True Black 500 and Eyesafe 2.0 certification, offering vivid and eye-friendly visuals. The slim, ultra-thin design enhances portability while maintaining a refined aesthetic.

Additional Features

It includes a microSD card slot and a headphone socket, with both USB-C ports located on the left-hand side. The laptop is designed for all-day battery life and seamless performance, making it suitable for both productivity and light gaming.
